Informativa sulla privacy

Ultimo aggiornamento: 1 ottobre 2026

2. Quali dati trattiamo

2.1 Dati che ci dai tu

  • Account: indirizzo email, nome e cognome.
  • Contenuti che crei: bozze, testi, note, avvisi e ricerche salvate, domande fatte all'assistente.

2.2 Dati raccolti in automatico

6, par. 1, lett. f).

4. A chi affidiamo i dati

4.1 Accesso, pagamenti, posta

  • Clerk, Inc. (Stati Uniti) — registrazione e accesso.

  • Turso (società statunitense; banca dati in Irlanda, regione AWS eu-west-1) — banca dati principale: account, profili, contenuti, registri, pagamenti.

  • Groq, Inc. (Stati Uniti);
  • Cerebras Systems Inc. (Stati Uniti);
  • SambaNova Systems, Inc. (Stati Uniti);
  • OpenRouter, Inc. (Stati Uniti), che a sua volta inoltra le richieste a chi ospita i modelli gratuiti che usiamo;
  • DeepSeek (Cina);
  • Cloudflare Workers AI (Cloudflare, Inc., Stati Uniti).

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd; Google LLC, Stati Uniti) — statistiche sulle visite.

6. Per quanto tempo

  • Account, profili e contenuti: finché l'account esiste.

Resta, in forma ridotta:

  • i pagamenti e le donazioni, che dobbiamo conservare: nella banca dati il tuo indirizzo email viene sostituito da un codice non reversibile; nel registro di sicurezza dei pagamenti su GitHub l'indirizzo resta invece in chiaro per il periodo di conservazione;
  • le tracce antifrode: restano l'indirizzo IP e la data, senza collegamento all'account, con l'email sostituita da un codice non reversibile e senza l'impronta del dispositivo;
  • i registri tecnici degli eventi passati, che possono contenere il tuo indirizzo email e l'indirizzo IP;

8. I tuoi diritti

9. Sei obbligato a darci i dati?

10. Minori

Bandolo è rivolto a persone maggiorenni. Non raccogliamo consapevolmente dati di minori.

11. Sicurezza

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This is a courtesy translation. If the two versions differ, the Italian version prevails.

This notice explains, under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"), which personal data Bandolo (getbandolo.com) processes, why, whom it entrusts them to and how you can have them deleted. It describes the service as it is today: when a tool or a provider changes, this page is updated.

1. Data controller

  • Controller: [to be completed: name of the data controller and seller]
  • Legal form: [to be completed: private individual, sole trader, company…]
  • Registered office or domicile: [to be completed: full address of the registered office or domicile]
  • VAT number or tax code: [to be completed: VAT number or tax code]
  • Privacy contact: hello.bandolo@gmail.com
  • Data protection officer (DPO): not appointed

2. What data we process

2.1 Data you give us

  • Account: email address, first and last name. The password, if you choose one, is held by Clerk and we never see it. If you sign in with Google, Clerk receives your name, email and profile picture from Google; we receive name and email.
  • Business profile: company name, VAT number, activity code (ATECO), sector, description of the business, registered office, region and country, number of employees, turnover, certified email (PEC) and any other data you enter.
  • Personal or professional profile: first and last name, profession, specialisation, qualification, academic field, years of experience, skills, publications, institution, region and country, description, and any other data you enter or that is written in the CV you upload.
  • Uploaded documents: the files (for example company registry extract, financial statements, CV) and the text we extract from them. A document may contain any data written in it, including other people's: upload only what you have the right to use.
  • Content you create: drafts, texts, notes, saved notices and searches, questions asked to the assistant.
  • Payments and donations: from PayPal we receive the transaction number, amount, date, outcome, the email address and name of the PayPal account used, and any message attached to a donation. We do not receive card or bank details.
  • Messages: what you write to us by email or through the site's report and feedback forms.

2.2 Data collected automatically

  • Technical access data: IP address, date and time, browser type, page requested; logs of account events (sign-ins, uploads, generations, errors).
  • Device fingerprint for fraud prevention: the site computes a short code from some characteristics of your browser (type and version, language, screen size and colour depth, time zone, number of processors, platform) and sends it to our server with every request. We record it, together with the IP address, at sign-up, at sign-in and when texts are generated, to prevent the same person from opening several accounts and repeating the free trial. We do not use it for advertising or to follow you on other sites.
  • Cookies and analytics tools: only with your consent, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity collect data on how the site is used. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

We do not ask you for special categories of data (health, political opinions, religious beliefs and the like) and we ask you not to put them in profiles and documents. If you do, be aware that they are processed like the rest of the profile, artificial-intelligence providers included.

3. Why we process them and on what basis

  • Providing the service (account, profiles, matching with notices, text generation, email alerts, support): performance of the contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. This includes sending texts to the artificial-intelligence providers, without which the service cannot work.
  • Handling purchases, receipts and refunds: performance of the contract and tax and accounting obligations, Art. 6(1)(b) and (c).
  • Security and fraud prevention (technical logs, request limits, device fingerprint): legitimate interest in protecting the service and preventing its abuse, Art. 6(1)(f). You can object by writing to us.
  • Usage statistics and recording of browsing sessions (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity): your consent, Art. 6(1)(a), which you can refuse or withdraw at any time from the cookie banner.
  • Defending ourselves in case of disputes: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f).

We do not take decisions producing legal effects on you by solely automated means: the relevance score is used to rank notices and decides nothing in your place or in place of the body issuing the notice. We do not sell your data and the site contains no advertising.

4. Whom we entrust the data to

To work, Bandolo relies on external providers. Each one receives what it needs for its task. The list reflects what is in use today.

4.1 Sign-in, payments, email

  • Clerk, Inc. (United States) — sign-up and sign-in. It receives and holds email, name, password in encrypted form, the link to your Google account if you use it, IP address and device data used to protect sign-in. To block automated sign-ups Clerk in turn uses an anti-bot check by Cloudflare.
  • Google (Google Ireland Ltd, Ireland; Google LLC, United States) — three separate uses: "Continue with Google" sign-in, if you choose it; sending service emails (receipts, alerts about notices, account messages), which are sent from a Gmail mailbox and therefore pass through Google with your address and the content of the message; Google Analytics, only with your consent.
  • PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. (Luxembourg) — payments and donations. When you pay you go to PayPal's website, which processes your payment data as an independent controller; from us it receives the amount, the description and the email address of the account on which Pro is to be activated.
  • Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd, Ireland) — integration in place but currently not offered for new purchases: it receives no data about you, unless you paid through Stripe in the past.
  • How service emails travel: GitHub, and in future Brevo or Resend — emails do not leave our server directly: they pass through an automation on GitHub (GitHub, Inc., part of Microsoft, United States), which receives the recipient's address and the content of the message for the time needed to send it and hands them to the Gmail mailbox they are sent from. A connection to a dedicated email service — Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) or Resend (Resend, Inc., United States) — is prepared but not active today: if we turn it on it will receive the same data, and this page will be updated first.

4.2 Infrastructure

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States, with a distributed network including Europe) — hosts the site's pages, manages the domain and relays traffic to our server: for this reason it sees your IP address and carries requests and responses.
  • Render Services, Inc. (US company; server in Frankfurt, Germany) — runs the Bandolo application: everything you send passes through here, and the files you upload are temporarily kept here.
  • Turso (US company; database in Ireland, AWS region eu-west-1) — main database: accounts, profiles, content, logs, payments.
  • Neon (US company; database in Frankfurt, AWS region eu-central-1) — standby database, with a copy of the same data, used when the main one does not respond.
  • GitHub, Inc. (Microsoft group, United States) — in a private repository we keep the backups: the ledger of payments and donations (transaction number, amount, date, email addresses) and copies of the database. Other working copies are kept on a computer of the owner.

4.3 Artificial intelligence

To compute relevance, read the documents you upload, answer in the assistant and write drafts, our server sends the artificial-intelligence providers the text needed for that operation: the data of the business or personal profile, the text extracted from the documents you upload, the text of the notice, your questions and the drafts to be revised. We do not send the password or payment data; but if the profile or the document contains your name, your contact details or other data, these are part of the text sent.

Requests are distributed in rotation among the active providers, depending on their availability: it is not possible to know in advance which one will handle a given request. Currently active:

  • Groq, Inc. (United States);
  • Cerebras Systems Inc. (United States);
  • SambaNova Systems, Inc. (United States);
  • OpenRouter, Inc. (United States), which in turn forwards requests to whoever hosts the free models we use;
  • DeepSeek (China);
  • Cloudflare Workers AI (Cloudflare, Inc., United States).

The system is also set up for Google Gemini and for Mistral AI (France), which are not active today: if they are activated they will receive the same texts.

We use the free or pay-as-you-go plans of these providers. Each one processes the texts under its own terms, which may provide for temporary retention of requests and, for some free models, their use to improve the models: we are not in a position to guarantee otherwise. For this reason we ask you not to write in profiles and documents anything you do not want these systems to read.

4.4 Usage analytics, only with your consent

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd; Google LLC, United States) — statistics on visits.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd; Microsoft Corporation, United States) — records how the page is used (clicks, scrolling, pointer movements) to reconstruct browsing sessions.

4.5 Other recipients

Public authorities, when the law requires it. If you create a public "passport" or share a notice with your team, what you choose to share is visible to anyone who has the link or belongs to the team.

5. Data outside the European Union

The databases and the server are located in the European Union (Ireland and Germany). However, almost all the providers listed are US companies, and the artificial-intelligence providers process texts outside the Union: mostly in the United States and, in the case of DeepSeek, in China, a country for which there is no adequacy decision of the European Commission. Transfers rely on each provider's contractual terms, which for US providers normally include the standard contractual clauses or participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us which safeguards apply to a specific provider.

6. For how long

  • Account, profiles and content: as long as the account exists. You can delete a profile, a document or the whole account at any time.
  • Uploaded files: they are kept on the server's disk, which is not permanent: they are lost at every restart or update of the service. The data we extracted from them stay in the profile until you delete it.
  • Payments and donations: for the time required by tax and accounting rules (normally ten years).
  • Technical logs, fraud-prevention records and backups: today they have no automatic expiry. We keep them as long as they are needed for the security and continuity of the service and delete them at your request, except for what we must keep by law.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention periods of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity; the Google Analytics cookie lasts about 13 months.

7. Deleting your account: what really happens

From Settings → "Delete Account", deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Deleted from the main database: the account, business and personal profiles, documents and vault files, drafts and generated texts, saved notices and searches, notes, plans and checklists, notifications and preferences, the teams you created, the scores computed for you, the public passport, the plan status and the log of your activity.

What remains, in reduced form:

  • payments and donations, which we must keep: in the database your email address is replaced by a non-reversible code; in the backup ledger of payments on GitHub, however, the address remains in clear for the retention period;
  • fraud-prevention records: the IP address and the date remain, with no link to the account, with the email replaced by a non-reversible code and without the device fingerprint;
  • technical logs of past events, which may contain your email address and IP address;
  • backups and the standby database, which are not updated at the same instant and may contain your data until the next alignment.

Not deleted automatically: the sign-in credentials held by Clerk (email, name, password, link to Google). The automatic procedure currently signs you out but does not remove your user at Clerk: if you sign in again with the same credentials, a new, empty Bandolo account is created. To have the credentials deleted as well, together with what remains in logs and backups, write to us at hello.bandolo@gmail.com from the account's address: we do it by hand and confirm the deletion within one month.

8. Your rights

At any time you can ask us to: know which data we hold about you and get a copy (access); correct them (rectification); delete them; restrict their processing; receive them in a format readable by another service (portability); object to processing based on legitimate interest; withdraw your consent to the analytics tools, without affecting what was done before. Write to hello.bandolo@gmail.com: we reply within one month. Many things you can do yourself: edit or delete profiles and documents from the site, change your cookie choice from the Cookie Policy.

If you believe we process your data improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.

9. Do you have to give us the data?

The email address is necessary to have an account. The profile is necessary to receive tailored notices: the more complete it is, the better the results; without a profile you can still browse the public notices. Analytics data are optional.

10. Minors

Bandolo is intended for people of legal age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Security

Communications with the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in is handled by a specialised provider and passwords do not pass through our systems. No system is absolutely secure, however: if a breach affecting you occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

12. Changes and language

This notice is updated when processing or providers change; the date at the top shows the latest version. The document is available in Italian and in English: if the two versions differ, the Italian version prevails.
